Liz is the Associate Director at Theatre by the Lake. She directed How My Light is Spent by Alan Harris, a co-production between Theatre by the Lake, Royal Exchange Theatre and Sherman Theatre, and Handbagged in the 2017 Summer Season.
Liz won the JMK Young Director Award in 2015, for which she was awarded the opportunity to direct her production of Barbarians at the Young Vic. The production was nominated for an Olivier Award for Outstanding Achievement in an Affiliate Theatre.
In 2015 her production of We are The Multitude for 24:7 Theatre Festival was nominated for a Manchester Theatre Award. After studying English at the University of Nottingham, she trained on the Theatre Directing MFA at Birkbeck, University of London. She has been an assistant director for the Royal Exchange Theatre, Hampstead Theatre, Shakespeare’s Globe, Menier Chocolate Factory and Gate Theatre.
