TBTL response to coronavirus

Due to the impact of the current outbreak, we have taken the sad and difficult decision to cancel our Summer Season. The considerable work needed to prepare for the season, together with the significant costs involved, presents too great a risk during a time of huge upheaval and uncertainty.

As you may know, the theatre is currently closed. We're updating our position daily and will communicate with you as the situation develops. This is a hugely challenging time and we're now working out how we can safeguard our future so that we remain here for you.

We're asking ticket holders to consider donating the cost of their ticket to support the theatre at this time and are hugely grateful to the many people who've indicated that they are happy to do so. We cannot thank you enough. As our Box Office is currently closed, we will resume normal Box Office functions as soon as we are able to reopen. For anyone who's got tickets to our Christmas show, The Borrowers, we'd like to reassure you that it is currently scheduled to go ahead as planned.

If you're able to offer an online donation no matter how big or small we would be incredibly grateful; we are also launching a campaign to support our reopening.

Our audiences and community are what make our theatre special; as ever, thank you for your continued support of Theatre by the Lake.

We're looking forward to opening our doors to welcome you back to share more wonderful theatre with you just as soon as we can.

In the meantime, you can keep up to date with our news via our social media channels and website where we'll post regular updates. Our building may be closed, but we are still here for you sharing stories, inspiration and creativity in new ways. We wish you all well.

Look after yourselves and each other,
Team TBTL x
