Alwyn Marriage: Difficult Topics Through the Lens of Fiction

Alwyn Marriage will talk about the topical issues that are dealt with in her two novels, Rapeseed and The Elder Race. Most of her fiction and poetry books start with the question, “What if?”, which leads her to consider the victims of crime, the consequences of medical advances, the dangers and possible responses to over-population. In her two novels, these issues are treated lightly, with her usual delight in language, human emotion and flashes of humour.
