Youth Theatre online workshops

Curated and led by independent theatre director Lexie Ward Weekly Mon 8 February - Mon 29 March | 7-9pm

Calling budding actors and young curious creatives between 14 and 18 years old to join our seasoned experts in a series of online workshops to explore the exciting world of theatre-making.

If you want to find out how theatres put on productions or if you are just curious to try something new, then these workshops will help you gain or sharpen skills and discover how to make theatre.

With professional theatre practitioners here to share their experiences, you’ll take part in relaxed fun activities from your home but among good company and we’ll explore theatre-making and a life in the theatre together.

If you’re totally new to acting, writing, or design, interested in lighting and sound, already part of a school or youth theatre or even have your first script, song or soliloquy drafted in your pocket, these workshops will help you sharpen your ideas and understand how we create the magic of theatre.

So, however much experience you’ve had, there is something new and exciting here for you.

Theatre professionals include: Kash Arshad, director; Tatty Hennessy, playwright; Oscar Toeman, director, John Wilkinson, director; Chi San Howard, Movement Director; Cory Shipp, Designer.

Online workshops run on Mondays on 8, 15, 22 February and 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 March 2021 and you must book the entire series.  The workshops just require a computer or smart phone and internet connection, and no additional equipment that wouldn’t be found at home.
