What is Forge Festival?
Forge Festival is an ambitious, 2 year arts project empowering young people in Cumbria to emerge from the pandemic, feeling creative, inspired & capable of shaping their futures. Led by The Knotted Project Theatre Company, exceptional quality theatre makers will deliver an exciting creative process with diverse groups of young people across Cumbria, to develop unique creative responses to the theme ‘Breaking through’. The process will culminate in a young person-led festival in outdoor & unusual spaces at the acclaimed Windermere Jetty Museum, in partnership with Lakeland Arts. We champion talent development alongside wellbeing & resilience, supported by youth mental health charity, Wave
Forward & a team of partners.
