Community Cast

We're seeking more people aged 18-40, to join the Community Cast for our summer season production of After the Dance; a beautiful, funny and moving play set in 1930s London. Cast members will feature in a fabulous fancy dress party scene.

The commitment is for two to three evenings per week, for around an hour-and-a-half each evening, when the play is in repertoire from mid-July to early November. We will endeavour to work around Community Cast members' availability.

Please email claire.dunk@theatrebythelake.com  to express your interest and Claire will send you details and an availability check sheet.

The Community Cast will work alongside the Company and team on this gorgeous production. It's a great opportunity to work with a professional company, make new friends and gain new skills.

Over the years directors have recruited local amateur actors to join the professional cast for several major productions at Theatre by the Lake. Community choruses have greatly increased the number of actors we can deploy on stage and have made a major contribution to the success of our plays.

Previous productions with a Community Cast include The Shepherd's Life, The Maid of Buttermere, Rogue Herries and A View From the Bridge.
