Winner of a host of festival awards and is the 2013 submission by the Netherlands for the Best Foreign Language Oscar. This is a story of the special relationship that develops between a young boy and a rescued fledgling jackdaw. Being brought-up alone by his father, Jojo is having difficulty coping with the absence of his mother and the arrival of the bird acts as catalyst between father and son to come to terms with their loss. A film aimed at audiences from age 12 but one that has emotional punch and has much to offer all ages.
