Film Festival - Festival Passes
This production ended on 28/02/2016
Cumbria’s answer to Sundance – an annual celebration of cinema set within stunning mountain scenery – is back for another year of exciting, unusual, little-known and top quality film. This is your chance to experience over 30 of the best UK independent and international films over four days and all in the spectacular surrounds of Keswick.
Themes this year include the work of women film directors, a celebration of jazz – very apt for Keswick, and an exploration of the relationship between film and memory. There will also be a showcase of the ‘best of the fests’ – a selection of award-winning films from prestigious festivals across the globe, such as Cannes, Venice and Toronto.
Special events include a Film Hub event, a dementia friendly screening, documentaries on jazz legends Nina Simone and Ornette Coleman and a critically acclaimed Iranian thriller that will make you think twice about walking home alone afterwards.
