Synopsis
The finest Jazz film ever made? Round Midnight is a fictional story but drawn from the real-life experiences of Jazz musicians. Saxophonist Dexter Gordon (nominated for an Oscar for the role) plays Dale Turner, a fading musician who moves to Paris to resurrect his career and find an audience. Befriended by a local music lover, Dale Turners journey takes its toll on them both.
Herbie Hancock supervised the music performances, ensuring that extra blend of authenticity and star quality.
