Synopsis

Polisse won the Jury Prize at Cannes and featuring Paris’ Child Protection Unit (Polisse is a child’s mis-spelling of police) it portrays some difficult issues and reminds us that abuse is not as far away as we would like to think.
Centring on the lives of the police men and women in the Unit, Director Maiwenn plays the role of a photographer, assigned to the Unit by the Ministry of Justice.

Maiwenn was a protégé of Luc Besson and who had his child at the tender age of 16, giving rise to speculation about the drivers behind this challenging film.
