One of the most sought after ensembles, the Escher Quartet brings a programme of absorbing and contrasting music including one of Mozart’s greatest quartets, Samuel Barber’s piece with the famous adagio at its heart, and Grieg’s only quartet, rich in texture and invention. Founded in 2005 in the USA and now renowned world-wide, the Quartet is named after the artist Escher, known for creating beauty out of the subtle interplay of many details.
