Synopsis

Acclaimed digital theatre makers imitating the dog turn their attention to Joseph Conrad’s extraordinarily influential novel, Heart of Darkness, with a bold, explosive re-telling of the classic which fuses live performance with cinema, soundscape and animation.

Amid the optimism at the turn of a new century, Heart of Darkness is a tale of lies and brutal greed, and of the dark heart which beats within us all. Now re-imagined in a forsaken and timeless Europe, lost to the destructive lust for power, it emerges as a tale absolutely for our time in this visually rich and memorably powerful piece of theatre.

'You may think you know this story, but this version, especially the ending, grips you anew... radical in every way' - The Times

'Conceptually breath-taking' - The Stage
