The Keswick Music Society’s 2019-20 season at Theatre by the Lake starts with an exciting orchestral concert from the internationally acclaimed European Union Chamber Orchestra led and directed by Alessandro Ruisi.

Giving 30 to 40 concerts annually The EUCO schedule includes prestigious halls Including Amsterdam Concertgebouw, Frankfurter Alte Oper, Milan’s Sala Verdi and Valencia’s Palau de la Musica as well as many major halls across Britain and the rest of the world. British soloists who have recently performed with EUCO include Nicola Benedetti, Alison Balsom and Julian Lloyd Webber.

Romanian pianist George Todica joins EUCO at TBTL to play the wonderful Mozart Piano concerto #12 in A major K.414. George is presently based at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. During his time there he has won 1st prize at the Moray International Piano Competition,1st prize at the Stefano Marizza Competition in Trieste, Italy, and 2nd Prize at the International Piano Campus Competition in Pontoise, France.

The programme also includes Grieg’s delightful Holberg Suite; Britten’s Simple Symphony and Bartok’s lively Romanian Dances.
