Calligraphy Workshop with Eileen Watson

Eileen Watson will explore the basics of calligraphy using dip pen and ink. Providing all materials needed, participants will learn the basics of a modern calligraphy script with a pointed dip pen including learning letter forms and how to plan and produce beautiful calligraphy. Participants will create and take home small hand-crafted pieces.

Eileen started her career as a design apprentice, when dip pen and ink was still a key component, prior to the age of computer aided design. Keen to preserve the hand written word, she has practiced the art of calligraphy now for over 45 years, blending a love of hand written script with illustration and watercolour painting.
