Multi Access Performance

This event has multiple access provisions.

This is may include Audio Described, Captioned and British Sign Language Performances. Please find more info on each of these below.

Audio Described info:

This means an interpreter will be behind the scenes describing the action on stage via headsets to anyone who wants to use this service.

Can I still come if I am not an AD user?

Yes – the show will run like any other show and you will not know the difference.

I am an AD user – what do I need to do?

It’s really important that you:

  1. a) register that you are an AD user (as well as any access needs) on your account (log in to your account and navigate to ‘other preferences’)
    b) If you want to use our hearing loop system via your hearing aid, ensure you book your tickets in rows A-F of the stalls
    c) if you would like a headset, you can choose a seat anywhere in the auditorium

Please go to Box Office on arrival if you would like to borrow a headset.

Touch Tours are usually offered prior to the show, please book your place by contacting our Box Office.

Captioned info: ​

Yes – the performance will be the same as on any other day, the only difference is that there will be a unit displaying the text spoken on stage viewable for those using the service. ​

I am a Caption user – what do I need to do?

  1. a) get in touch with our Box Office on enquiries@theatrebythelake.com or 017687 74411 to ask about the best seat to select to ensure you have a good view of the caption unit (this may be different for every show)
    b) register that you are an caption user (as well as any ​additional access needs) on your account (log in to your account and navigate to ‘other preferences’) ​
    c) If you require any hearing enhancement please contact our Box Office for show-specific advice

British Sign Language info:
