The Ronnie Scott’s Story
Friday 6 March | 7:30pm
Celebrating over 60 years of one of the world’s most iconic music venues, the Ronnie Scott’s All Stars take to the road with The Ronnie Scott’s Story. Direct from London’s legendary jazz club, this unique show combines world-class live jazz with rare archive photos and video footage, taking audiences on a guided musical journey through the club’s extraordinary history.
Set amidst the dive bars and jook joints of Soho, we relive the club’s early struggles, from hand-to-mouth finances and frequent police raids to uneasy truces within gang territory—including run-ins with the infamous Kray twins. Life at Ronnie’s is vividly reimagined through tales of its famous visitors—pop stars, film stars, politicians, comedians, and royalty—but above all, the musicians who made it legendary.
Featuring classic music from the jazz greats who have performed at Ronnie Scott’s, together with evocative images, film and stories of old Soho, The Ronnie Scott’s Story offers a fascinating glimpse into this iconic world.
Hosted and performed by the award-winning Ronnie Scott’s All Stars, led by the Club’s Musical Director, this is an unforgettable evening of music, history and entertainment—an absolute must for any jazz or music fan.
