Give the Gift of Theatre this Christmas
Christmas is all about making memories as a family. Ones that will be cherished for a lifetime.
This year, with the increased pressure of the cost of living against a backdrop of the challenges post-Covid, many families will find themselves struggling to pay for the basics and understandably, tickets to the theatre will be out of reach for some. But for many people, their first and enduring memory of watching theatre comes from attending an annual Christmas production. With all of its magic and intrigue, memories are created that will spark a relationship with theatre that will last a lifetime.
We’re working with Public Health Cumbria to identify those families that will most benefit from this gift, and with Rotary Club of Cockermouth we’re fundraising to provide free tickets and transport to families this Christmas to come to selected performances of The Borrowers.
Theatre by the Lake are providing tickets for this appeal for just £10 each, so a donation of £40 would provide a family of four with a magical experience this Christmas. Plus, if you Gift Aid your donation, it will go even further!
Please help us reach our target of providing 200 free tickets by making a donation using the box below.
In the event that we raise more than we are able to distribute through free tickets for The Borrowers, we will transfer the balance to support similar initiatives throughout the year, ensuring that theatre in Keswick remains accessible to everyone.
