Armed with knitting needles, stale crackers and a 6 week Polish Duolingo streak Poet P and their mum Ruthie head across rural Poland to try and follow the threads that will hopefully lead them back to their roots – unraveling the family myths around great granny Rosalie (originally Ruchla) Barenblum and her 1930s exodus from Poland to Argentina.

With their trademark mix of witty wordplay and open-hearted tenderness this new show is a love letter to family and how the strands of the past bind us to the present. With some classic mother child banter about queer dating, casual ageism and whatever became of that stolen spoon.

Better known for their work as a writer and director (Sherlock Holmes and the PoisonWood (Watermill), The Little Prince (Taunton Brewhouse) and In the Willows (Exeter Northcott & 16 week UK tour), Ledbury Poetry-Slam-winning Poet P Burton-Morgan returns with their third new poetry show after the success of Running Commentary (Salisbury Playhouse & UK tour) and Explaining Being Pan to Nan (Oxford Playhouse and UK Tour).
