The Lakeside Club

Each Lakeside Club event will feature a guest speaker and refreshments and is a great opportunity for members to find out more about the theatre and meet other people within our membership community.

Our June guest speaker for is actor, Dean Smith.

Dean has had a varied career in television, film and theatre. His television credits include Waterloo Road, Still Open All Hours, Hollyoaks, Emmerdale, Coronation Street, Doctors and Last Tango in Halifax to name a few. Dean is also a regular in films and on Radio 4 and was previously the voice and face of Yorkshire Tea.

His recent theatre credits include UK tours of The Holly and the Ivy, Agatha Christie’s A Murder Is Announced, the lead in Ruth Rendell thriller Gallowglass, Tink in Letter To Boddah and the UK tour of Bridge. He recently starred in Through It All Together at the Leeds Playhouse, where his performance saw him nominated at the 2025 WhatsOnStage Awards.

Dean will join us to talk about his career, his passion for the arts and the importance of theatres in opportunities for communities and especially young people.

All members are welcome and may bring a guest.
